The Occidental Restaurant, Where Statesmen Dine, re-opened its doors in the first week of January 2007, marking the beginning of a year long celebration of 100 years of operations. Since 1906, the Occidental has been praised for outstanding cuisine, service and Washington’s most comprehensive photography collection of famous 20th-Century personalities. Throughout 2007, the Occidental will unveil Fresh Faces of the Occidental through a series of events, wine programs and celebrations.
Executive Chef Rodney Scruggs invites you to enjoy a distinguished dining experience at the Occidental, with seating for banquets and private dining (2 to 500) and lunch & dinner patrons. Indulge in Chef Rodney’s new menu, a fresh approach to perennial Occidental favorites and classic upscale American cuisine; the sparkling new kitchen, designed by Russell Stilwell of Next Step Design; and the fresh atmospheric touches throughout the dining rooms.
